Just as bridal expos are such a good way to pick-up hints and tips for planning your wedding, so can attending an open day at a wedding venue. All the open days we have attend have been highly educational, not just in learning how each specific venue approaches events, but also in help you think of things you didn’t even know you had to be thinking about.
Most bridal couples might think that you would only attend a venue’s open day if the venue is on your list of possible locations for your celebration, but it can also be a rich source of information regarding how ceremonies and receptions can be planned.
We were invited to join one of Dwarsberg Trout Hideaway’s open days as a vendor earlier this year and we were so impressed we are returning for their next open day on 1 September 2019 to join their venue tour and find out more about what they can offer bridal couples.
Every time we have speak to or have met with one of Dwarsberg Trout Hideaway’s staff their friendliness, warmth and professionalism as astounded us and if you just look at any of the photos taken at their stunning venue you will see that their location is just breath-taking.
While at their open day earlier this year we were able to taste some of the appetisers they had prepared for guests, from the mini blue cheese, fig & caramelised onion quiches, the mini leek and the mushroom & chicken pies, to the bacon & cheese wheels, french fries, mexican bites and butterflied tempura prawns with lemon aioli, everything was delicious!
They are situated only 106km from Cape Town just past Rawsonville in the Breede Valley area and have two open days for spring 2019, the first on 1 September 2019 and the second on 5 October 2019. We would urge everyone to contact them to book your space at one of the two dates.
Please leave us a comment to let us know if you have attended any venue open days and what you tough of it or of there are any open days you would like us to attend and write about.
